An End of Year Breeze - Broompark to Lanchester 10:00am DH7 7RJ Join us for an end of year breeze along the Deerness Valley Railway Path to the Austrian coffee house 'Kaffee Amadeus' (Percy Terrace/Station Rd junction). The trip is suitable for fairly confident riders or if you're fairly new to cycling something to stretch yourself. At a comfortable pace, it is off road and as flat as a ride in Durham gets. You'll be in the good company of other female cyclists while riding through Durham's attractive countryside. The railway path is mainly a good surface so will be suitable for all bikes apart from those with very skinny road tyres. Children are welcome when booked with an adult but please ensure that they're competent to ride the distance safely and they wear a helmet (compulsory for under 16 s on Breeze Rides). Please don't risk getting cold and come suitably dressed for the weather e.g. warm gloves, buff, extra socks/overshoes and lots of layers. Please remember to bring equipment with you to repair punctures. Breeze Ride Leaders are there to help but are not responsible for your bike.
