About the route
Starting point
Mill Lane Car Park, Thurmaston . This is near Thurmaston Lock from Watermead or a small turning by Thurmaston Stores if coming by road ( look out for letter box) and narrowing of road
The ride links the towns on the edge of Leicester, going in an anti-clockwise direction., exploring the pleasant rolling countryside of deepest Leicestershire. A mixture of country lanes and larger roads to keep the momentum going. Going at 12mph with stops we aim to be back for 7.00pm.
Being a circular route an early return to leicester will be no problem at any point or returning by train from Hinkley, Market Harborough or Melton would also be possible.
