Ambleside: World Heritage ride to Grasmere

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. Learn about the Lake District's bid to become a World Heritage Site as we pedal along the new Grasmere Trail. Fantastic landscape without the hills and traffic to the historic village of Grasmere - William Wordsworth's home. Bike hire is available from Ghllside Cycles, Ambleside - 01539 433592. Please book in advance and collect from the shop, please state that the hire is for Sky Ride.
