The route is mostly designated cycle track, following the River Derwent in the direction of Derby City, passing by The Silk Mill to Darley Abbey, then over to Markeaton Park. Returning to the Derwent River path via Five Lamps.

No hills on this ride, just a few rise and falls over the occasional bridge or ramp.

The kind of roads we'll be riding on are mostly cycle track with a small section of road in Darley Abbey

The Potting Shed at Markeaton Garden Centre is our half-way coffee stop before returning to Alvaston Park

A helmet is a must, suitable clothing for changeable weather conditions during the ride, a spare innertube/puncture kit, a mobile phone and a facemask. Please ensure your bike is mechanically sound prior to arriving at the start. Thank you.

We especially welcome newbies!
