Along the Liverpool Prom

This ride will take us from one end of the Liverpool Prom starting at the Pier Head Ferry Terminal and will go to Otterspool Park cafe and return the same way. The ride goes past the Albert Dock, Echo Arena, and the Festival Garden Park and then on to Otterspool's Park. Taking in, weather permitting, along the way some fantastic views across the Mersey. Pier Head Ferry Terminal is not far from James Street Station. Come out of the main exit of the station, turn right, come down towards Mann Island. The ferry terminal is just the new Museum of Liverpool. Alternatively get off at Moorfield’s station which is a bit further away, if you’re not confident about cycling then just walk your bike down to where you feel safer. The ride should take no longer than 2 ½ hours in total, with at least one stop. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too. For Sunny and warm weather, remember  suntan lotion, water and sunglass. All you need is a bike, helmet and enthusiasm. If you need to hire a bike, along the main road opposite Mann Island and not far from the Ferry terminal is the Giant Hire shop. If you do have your own bike, it’s always useful to have an inner tube with you.
