Alnes and Alcester

The route goes past the various Alnes: Little Alne, Great Alne, Alne Hill, Alne End. We will go out of Stratford via The Ridgeway, Billesley, Aston Cantlow, Shelfield, Shelfield Green, Alne End, past Kinwarton to Alcester. Return is via Walcote, Aston Holdings, Wilmcote, and the Ridgeway.

This ride explores beautiful quiet lanes west of Stratford on Avon.

All the route is on road, crossing a busy road but otherwise cycling mostly on minor roads.

The cafe stop will be Chapter 23 in Alcester.

Please do a brief pre-ride bike check: in particular check brakes, tyre pressure and tyre condition. Remember to bring some water and means of payment for the cafe stop. A helmet is strongly recommended, and please pack a spare jacket if the weather is changeable.
