All aboard to Hetton Lyons

From Rennys Lane we will cycle along cyclepath to Sherburn, on road to Pittington and then to Hetton Lyons Country Park where we will circle the lake, enjoy the Ray Lonsdale and other scupltures and then return to Pittington. Depending on the time, we may return via Heavenly Hallgarth to Sherburn, or take the more direct route back to the start.
There is an option for a drink at the Gilesgate Moor Hotel at the end of the ride.

An evening ride out to Hetton Lyons and back - to make the most of the evening sun!

Mostly traffic free, with short stretch on road towards Pittington.

This is a there and back route. We will stay for a drink at the Gilesgate Moor Hotel, following the ride.

Helmets are always advisable, as are clothes suitable for the weather. We also recommend that you bring along water, snacks, a spare inner tube, suitable for your wheel size, money for refreshments. As the evenings are now getting shorter we also recommend front and rear lights, just in case..
