Alexandra park - Fallowfield loop to Ashton canal and back

We will leave from outside cafe cranks at Alex park and join the Floop at Athol Road. We will follow the loop all the way to the end at Fairfield. There is a bit of minor road cycling here for a few minutes and one major road crossing point. Very soon we join the Ashton canal and turn left to go slightly downhill to reach Fairfield basin where we could stop for a few minutes if we want to. The route then continues until it reaches the yellow brick road (the disused Stockport branch canal). cycling down there to the end takes us back to Debdale reservoir and to re-join the loop for the downhill route all the way back to Alex park
