Adult Social Ride to Hamble

Starting at Monty's Bike Hub in Sholing, the route heads south to Weston Shore and follow traffic free cycle paths on the picturesque waterside of Weston Parade. Onto the village of Netley, past the historic, medieval ruins of Netley Abbey, before reaching the beautiful Royal Victoria Country Park and its wonderful woodland paths. Another mile through the village of Hamble-Le-Rice and we come the river Hamble and a chance for a break with a view at the Beach Hut Café on the quayside.

The return north takes in the traffic-free Hamble Rail Trail and then cycle paths next to Hamble Lane and Bursledon Road to return to the Bike Hub.

We will be riding together at all times, at a pace everyone is comfortable with. Please bring a drink and a snack if you wish. Make sure you wear clothing appropriate to the weather conditions and a cycle helmet. Please also bring a pump and spare inner tube that fits your bike if you have one.
