Starting point

Gwynedd

From the foreshore car park at Abergwyngregyn we join the A55 cycle path towards Talybont, we leave there and take a stepped climb to Rachub, (there is one portion that I have to walk- but that only takes me 3 minutes!) before popping out on the road to Rachub and then leaving the village, taking what I'm sure we used to call the 'Roman Road' to Aber, dropping down some fairly steep hills on the way.

Please check your bike before arriving, checking that the tyres are pumped, and brakes in working order. Bring a spare inner tube in case of puncture, and bring your helmet.
Please bring something to drink along the way and clothes suitable for whatever summer weather we have! Please check back on the ride to make sure there are no cancellations due to high winds etc!

Bring money if you want to drop in on one of Aber's cafes! (We can choose which!)

This is a hilly ride** along small back roads, we go up and then we have some steep ( in parts) descents. ** There's one small portion where I have to push! It takes me under 3 minutes- you may be able to ride it! :)

We'll be cycling from the foreshore carpark along a fairly quiet road and then along the new cycle path which runs alongside the A55- so though we have traffic noise we have no traffic other than possible agricultural or other bikes. Almost all the rest is country lanes- which may have leaves and twigs, moss and potholes- though the weather forecast so far does not forecast any high winds to bring down branches- route was clear Wednesday 30/10.

I'm not planning any stops other than to enjoy views , or catch-up, catch breath and re group. I do however suggest bringing cash for optional cafe visit at the end of the ride!

Please ensure that your bike is winter ready, with good tyres and breaks, that you have warm layers and a drink for yourself as well as spares and tool kit in case you have a puncture.

We never leave anyone behind
