Abbey to Watermead

Join us on this great circular route of just under 7 miles.  Enjoy the ride through Leicester Riverside between the rural setting of Abbey Park through to Watermead Park.  Most of this ride is off road therefore a hybrid or mountain bike is suitable.  We will ride a short distance on a quiet road to join the off road path.   We'll have refreshments on our return to  Abbey Park, so don't forget to bring some money.  Also, bring a bottle of water. Please give your bike a quick check before you bring it along - check to see if the tyres are inflated, brakes and chain are working.  If you can, please bring a spare inner tube. Although not compulsory, wearing a helmet is advisable - under 18s must wear a helmet. Please wear suitable clothing appropriate for the weather i.e. warm gloves, waterproof jacket, warm clothing etc.   We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.
