A View of the Solway Firth

Join us for a leisurely Sunday morning ride exploring the beautiful countryside surrounding Carlisle.  We will meet at Orton Grange and then will cycle along quiet country roads towards the Solway Firth.  We will ride to the road that runs alongside the estuary and then return to Orton Grange.  We will pass through the villages of Balwinholme,  Oughterby and Kirkbrampton.  We will also ride pass Watchtree Nature reserve.  After the ride we can sample the fantastic food on offer at the café at Orton Grange.  This ride will be suitable for all abilities; the route is all on good tarmac roads and will be suitable for all bike types. We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. The aim of the ride is to have a fun sociable ride in the company of other women, build up confidence in our riding in a supportive group environment, as well ask questions about bikes and riding, and make links with others. All welcome and we will not leave anyone behind Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable to cycle in.  It is a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket and a bottle of water.  We always recommend that you wear a cycle helmet.
