Accrington

A great local route for Hyndburn and Accrington taking in Baxenden.  The route starts at St James Church from where you will ride past the famous Acccrington Town Hall and Market Hall.  It then continues down Blackburn Road passing the former Henry Gregsons Cycles, off past the old iron works before picking up the cycle track.

You will then pass the waterside area with a thriving bird population before heading off up to Baxenden on the old line. Howarth Art Gallery with the biggest collection of Tiffany Glass in Europe is an ideal stopping place for a brew.

From here you will pass the Golf and Cricket Club before dropping down on to the main road for a short spin passing the mighty Hollands Pie Factory….Yum.

Then it is back to the lines for the home straight…a reet good ride.
