A tour of Shropshire

We will leave Chirk and head towards Gobowen. From there we will head into Whittington and stop by the castle for a few minutes to take in the scenery. From here will continue into Queens head and west Felton. From here we are on quiet lanes until we get to Ellesmere for our stop.
After our stop we will head back to Chirk via St martens. In terms of climbing there are a couple of hills on the way back from Ellesmere to St martins as well as a final climb less than a mile away from our starting point. Don’t worry these are completely doable and we will take these at our own pace and regroup.

A lovely route incorporating some lovely lanes around Shropshire. The pace will be around 9-12mph.

The majority of this route will be on quiet lanes however there will be some busier stretches where we will need to take extra care.

We can stop anytime during the ride to take photos, have a breather etc. I am planning a stop for us in Ellesmere for a refreshment break.

Helmets are mandatory. Please also bring a spare inner tube. Please also bring Cash or card should you wish to make a purchase when we stop. However please don’t feel obligated to do this and you can bring your own. Please bring a drink and or snack if you wish.
