The start point is off London Road ( the A6 ) turn into esplanade and follow the River Ribble as far as you can , you will then come to playing fields (Frenchwood Recreation area ) follow the road to the end , you will see the car park . Please note there is a height restriction so if you have roof mounted racks or high level rear racks be careful on entry , you can park just outside on the road if you cannot fit under . Note the postcode is not exact and may not take you to the car park , so allow extra time to find it . PR1 4LX, PR1 4LX

Starting from Frenchwood Recreation area on the car park we will head out through Avenham Park and out along Riversway , before crossing over Blackpool Rd bridge , most of the regular riders have done this route , if you haven't your in for a treat !
Mainly on smooth tarmac cycle paths , with a couple of shale type paths , with a little bit of road . This ride is a cracking beginner ride at 21 .5 miles with a couple of short hills included but please only join us if you are going to turn up , and can complete the distance , we will average between 8/9mph on this ride .

possible stop at Uclan , toilets /coffee

please make sure you have means of inflating tyres and carry a couple of spare innertubes just in case ! Also its wise to give your bike a check over the night before . Suitable clothing for the conditions ,please do not turn out if you are feeling unwell or not upto the distance or paths advertised .
