A mid week meander

An easy going and pleasing circular social ride mostly off road on predominantly good tracks & cycle lanes. We ride out of Gosforth & head toward Weetslade park, onto Backworth then the Rising Sun Park after which we will circle back to the days starting point. There is a couple of short sections on road so you must be confident riding in some traffic.


Please make sure your bike is in working condition. before the start of the ride and bring a spare inner tube to fit your tyres and/or a puncture repair kit. The leaders can assist with a puncture. but only if you have the correct size inner tube with you.

Helmets are advisable.

Expect to be out for 3-3.5hrs

COVID-19
Please note the following:
• We will not share any equipment so please be organised and bring your own items eg drink, bike pump and hand sanitiser.
• You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides.
• We will ride taking social distancing into account. At the time of writing British Cycling recommend riding 2m apart.
• Participants must not attend a ride if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms
• Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms during a ride must inform a leader.
• Anyone who develops COVID symptoms after a ride must contact the leader. British Cycling HQ will then contact everyone who attended the ride.



We will stop for coffee & cake at the Rising Sun Country Park.
