A lap of the Doncaster Cycle Festival Circuit with Sky Ride Local

The popular programme of rides, guided by trained British Cycling ride leaders, is set to kick off on Sunday 1st June with a unique opportunity to ride the circuit of the town centre cycle race part of Doncaster Cycle Festival.  Come and experience the thrill of the crowd cheering you like the professionals in the Tour de France. Then stay and watch this exciting racing featuring some of the best riders in the country. So if you fancy a fun way to get your friends or Children riding but have not cycled for a while and you are looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle.  This relaxed easy going ride will be great for building confidence in all abilities and ages, riding on this traffic-free town centre route. The ride will be a gentle pace of around six miles an hour. This is the launch of the programme of twenty rides taking place all over Doncaster. Organised by British Cycling and Sky, in partnership with Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, Sky Ride Local offers local people the chance to join organised, guided rides of varying distances and difficulties – ranging from 'easy going' spins around closed roads in the town centre, picturesque parts of Doncaster, through to ‘steady’ and ‘challenging’ rides, for those seeking a little more adventure.
