A Grand Day Out!

A Grand Day Out! We're having another jaunt into Yorkshire with yet another new, unique FC Ride - 4th time lucky! Please note the clocks have gone forward & we've lost an hour, so we're starting at 10.30, which will feel like 9.30! We're starting from Gargrave & going to cycle round the beautiful Yorkshire villages. We'll head North through Hetton & Cracoe, passing the Dark Horse brewery before stopping for lunch in Grassington. We'll then ride to Appletreewick & Bolton Abbey, passing Billy Bobs Ice Cream Parlour and down to Skipton to visit Stanforths Pork Pie Establishment. - you have to try one - before looping back round to Gargrave. This will be a great ride around some new lanes. Great company, cake, ice cream & a pork pie. Who could ask for more? They can copy our rides, use our descriptions, but they'll always be a pale imitation! We'll ride at a steady pace of 10-12 mph on this ride which has the odd lumpy bit. We'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant New Year ride. Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please aim to be ready to ride 15 mins before the ride start time, getting away on time is good for everyone. It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you. Plenty to see along the way from canal boats to vast greenhouses and even a four foot owl perched on a tree! We'll stop for tea & cake at Fettlers Warf in Rufford. We'll ride at a steady pace of 10-12 mph on this ride which is fairly flat. We'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant New Year ride.
