Starting point

London
N13 5QL

The route goes through Edmonton, and climbs steadily, but not steeply up to Epping Forest.
It follows a gravel path through the forest to High Beech and returns down Avey Lane, through Gunpowder Park to the River Lee navigation path Turing off at Picketts Lock to head back to Edmonton.
A great deal of the route is gravel paths, cycleways and quiet roads. There are a few sections of busy road which will be tackled sensibly.
The refreshment stop will be at the Butlers Retreat Cafe. There are toilets there and at High Beech.
This route is suitable for competent riders with good bike handling skills and a reasonable level of fitness. The pace will be steady and we will re-group at the top of any inclines.
