meet at low moor train station where it meets the spen valley trail.
we will travel down the spen valley to the end , opportunities to take photos along the way,
at the very end of the trail we will continue along the canal side to lees locks where we will then head left towards dewsbury marina.
we turn right just before the marina over the river and then out on route 699 towards ossett on traffic free routes. there are a few undulation before we hit ossett.
once at ossett we can either enter the town centre or head towards the brewers pride pub for lunch.
after lunch we have a short riverside path to negotiate before returning to the canal near healey..
we continue right back along the canal past lees lock then we venture off the spen valley on route 66 to explore the dewsbury country park , we exit via ponderosa farm and there is a short on-road section to rejoin the spen valley trail at heckmondwike.
we then retrace our steps back to low moor train station.
a trip down the spen valley to see the sculptures then onwards to ossett returning back via the dewsbury country park.
a mix of roads,tracks and canal side. a small sometimes muddy section of approx 500 yards which can be pushed in necessary.
photo stops along the way. a stop in ossett town centre or the brewers pride pub for lunch 40 mins - a decision will be made on the day.
