Join us for a N leeds easy/steady ride heading to Tropical World Cafe in Canal Gardens, Roundhay

The ride is a mix of town and country, road, dedicated cycle lanes, segregated cycle path and tarmac park cycle paths

Start off from the parking area opposite Adel church, bell tower end.
Or you can join us in Shadwell, looking out for us from the pub car park…approx. time 10.05/10.10.

From Adel church, heading up Church lane/Eccup lane to the crossroads we turn right onto Eccup Moor road and onto the reservoir, cross A61 on the cycle path at the back of the Grammar School coming out on Wigton lane, turning left at the junction and onto the Dexter pub, right then left onto Shadwell lane and onto the village, turning right after the Red Lion pub onto Colliers lane, Blind lane, right onto Gateland lane where we pick up the ELOR dedicated cycle lane. Before the retail park we turn right down Manston lane, then right onto Sandleas way, left onto Smeaton approach passing John Smeaton leisure centre, left onto Barwick road to the roundabout where we pick up the cycle lane to Asda Killingbeck, turn right at the lights and onto the path through Wykebeck Valley Park, Fearnville Playing Fields, Wykebeck Way coming out on Wetherby road and into Roundhay park for the climb up past Waterloo lake to the main gates, cross Street lane and into Canal Gardens for our coffee stop

Leaving lunch we turn right onto Street lane, then right down Roman avenue to pick up the ring road cycle lane to A61, across the roundabout, using the traffic lights to cross, and pick up the cycle lane adjacent to King lane, there will be a choice of using the path through the cricket ground coming out on Stairfoot lane or continue on King lane up to Eccup lane and down to Adel

Spare inner tube, pennies for coffee etc

A varied route with roads, bike paths, going past Eccup reservoir, a stretch on the ELOR and near the end, but before the lunch stop, up thro Roundhay park.
