A Canalside Adventure

Today we are going to cycle along the Basingstoke Canal towards Fleet. The distance will be dependent on the weather, if its been raining it can be muddy in places and how many other users we encounter as it is popular with walkers. It would be great to see if we can get to Pondtail Bridge, Fleet and then head off towards Fleet Pond for a small excursion. The intention is is stop on our return at the Canal Centre in Mychett for refreshments. The ride has no fixed distance or time today as we are going to see where we get to and meander along beside the canal however we hope to be back at the very latest about 1.30pm This is a longer ride so please bring water and your snacks if needed however we will stop for refreshments possibly food. Today is all about having fun and the shortest we intend cycling will be to the Canal Centre however the plan is to go further as the towpath should be dry at this time of year. Please bring a lock to secure your cycle whilst stopping for refreshments and money. A helmet is advisable but not compulsory to take part. Please remember suitable clothing for cycling in at this time of year and sunscreen (its August so hopefully it will be needed!) Please email me should you have any questions - have any queries.
