A ride through a number of scenic areas, with lunch at the famous station buffet at Carnforth Railway Station. For those who have not seen it, the film Brief Encounter is available on YouTube. I shall be on hand with a clean handkerchief for anyone who gets grit in their eye. More places on this ride are available on The Bus Stop Bikers Website https://busstopbikers.co.uk/event/a-brief-encounter

Most of the route is on National Routes 6, 90, The Way of the Roses and the Bay Cycleway. As such it is mostly a road ride with some cycle paths and a length of the Lancaster canal path, to avoid the A6 back to Lancaster.

Lunch stop at the Station Buffet in Carnforth Station. The station buffet has recently re-opened after closing during the Covid period and has apparently been refurbished. You can view the menu options at https://refreshmentroom.com/index.php/menu/. Other cafe stops are available en route

Helmets are always advisable but NOT compulsory. Cash or card if you intend to purchase lunch. Emergency tools and puncture repair equipment are usual and please consider emergency or daytime running lights. We should be back before dark. Please bring a mask in case the cafe requires it.

We never leave anyone behind
