Car Park near Hirst Lock, Hirst Lane, Shipley.

Meeting at the Hirst Lock Car Park avoids the congested roads of Saltaire These towpath rides are tailored to suit whoever turns up and can be anything from a very gentle ride to a local tea room or a visit to Kirkstall Abbey, Hollybush Farm or even into Leeds Granary Wharf or Silsden. Today's ride is to Hollybush Farm, The Conservation Volunteers base in Kirkstall. A hidden gem that provides homemade food, often fresh from the garden. This is a ride of about 22 miles, but it is mainly flat and on a much improved towpath surface. We ride at an easy pace, and no one gets left behind! We are out to enjoy ourselves. I would advise that you bring a drink and a snack for top ups along the way, also some money for refreshments when we stop. Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome. Dress appropriately for the weather: several thin layers are best and a rain jacket could come in handy. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. The towpath can get very muddy after rain, so please bear this in mind when choosing what to wear for the ride My number on the day is :- 07940 975 971 I look forward to you joining us.
