60 miler to Shoeburyness

The third ride to help you prepare for the summer sportives with this 60 mile ride from Upminster to Shoeburyness where we will stop for a well earned rest.
2 hills, up to Laindon Hills and Bread & Cheese Hill.
This isn't a race and no one will be dropped even if you have to walk up the hills. This is the opportunity to start your training for the Ride London 100 or a BHF ride. The ride is entirely on road, or roadside paths
Please bring;
1. A lock for your bike,
2. Some money or a card & a mask with you if you wish to purchase refreshments at the stop,
3. A road worthy bike,
4. A spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers
5. A cycle helmet,
6. Comfortable clothes appropriate for the weather,
7. A drink & snack for along the way if needed.
We will ride taking social distancing into account. At the time of writing British Cycling recommend riding at least 1m apart
Please do not attend the ride if you have Covid-19 symptoms, have someone in your household who does or have tested positive on a recent Covid 19 test. Cancelling your place won’t be a problem just let us know before the ride so we are not waiting unnecessarily for you, especially if it’s raining.
