Schools out ..... time for a bike ride This Friday evening ride is a flat, off road section of "The Viking Coastal Trail". Meet in the car park under The Reculver Towers, a landmark and Scheduled Ancient Monument, that can be seen for miles. We will cross the road to "The Viking Coastal Trail", skirting around the Towers and set off East, with the sea to the North and marshland to the south, heading to Minnis Bay. We dont know what the weather will be like .... bring layers and a waterproof as it may be cool and windy.... but dont forget the suncream! We will stop at "The Minnis" for a coffee - retreat in to warm up, and still watch the sunset (if its not cloudy!). I've only allocated 15 minutes for coffee, but if people are happy to ride back in the dark we can stay a little longer, alternatively there is a pub back at Reculver where we could have another coffee once the bikes are in the car. The journey back draws towards the iconic twin towers at Reculver. looking forwards to meeting yNou.   SUITABLE FOR ROAD, HYBRID OR MOUNTAIN BIKES. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way and some money if you'd like something at the coffee stop. Please wear a helmet and ensure your bike is in good working order-tyres pumped, brakes working etc and carrying a spare inner tube and puncture repair kit is always advisable. If you want to lock your bike at "The Minnis" please bring a lock. Please dress for the British weather.
