Clevedon Sea Front to Claverham & Chelvey

Hi my name is Nicki, I’m one of the local Breeze Champions based in the Clevedon.  I will be assisted by Alison who is also a Breeze Champion. This will be a 17 mile ride and is suitable for the intermediate rider who is confident riding on the road.  The ride is best suited to a hybrid or a road bike as we will be riding at a pace over 11mph. We will meet on the promenade Clevedon Sea Front opposite No.5 The Beach, Café (where we will return to after the ride for those that would like to!) Free parking is available on the sea front or the side roads, alternatively there is a pay & display car park at the entrance to The Hawthorns Retirement Home BS21 7EH. Public Toilets are available close by. Please allow extra time to get parked and get to the location. We ride out of Clevedon along Elton road and the Sea Front, then cycle along a footpath/cycle path past Marshall’s field which has great views across the channel.  We then aim for Claverham & Chelvey via the village of Kingston Seymour.  The route takes us across the moors mostly on a circular route enjoying quiet country lanes, crossing over the M5 then heading back to Clevedon where we follow our original route out of Clevedon. Please dress for the weather and bring water with you.  Helmets are advisable though not compulsory. We ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.  Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome, don't worry if you don't know anyone, we're a friendly bunch!
