Beginners and not-so-confident riders

Come and join a Saturday Women's Only Ride starting from Mile End Stadium in the East End of London. Rides are mostly off road, using the local parks, canal networks, and riverside paths. Confident Canal Riders meet from 9-11am to enjoy an early cycling workout, enjoying a variety of scenic SkyRide routes. Complete Beginners and less confident riders meet from 11am-1pm, to build up cycling skills locally in Mile End Park, Victoria Park, and the new Olympic Park. Bikes are provided at a cost of £2-£3 to make cycling accessible to all women. Rides run from March to November each year. Bike Maintenance workshops also run at the Club each Saturday if your own bike needs a service! To find us, come to Mile End Stadium off Rhodeswell Road. Come through the turnstile to the track and turn left - you will find us at the container area. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too!  Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
