2023 South Ribble Mens Mental Health Awareness Day community get together.

Join us for tracks and trails around Vernons to showcase the great cycling infrastructure in and around this area of South Ribble.
We advise mountain or hybrid bikes with substantial tyres including electric bikes and gravel bikes.

Come and join the active travel team at South Ribble borough council for a get together on men’s mental health awareness day. This event is open to anyone to nip down for a chat , a bike ride ,a free bike fix or even a free brew. On the day we will have two short guided rides up to 5 miles leaving at 1300 and 1400 which will explore the tracks and trails of South Ribble including the newly resurfaced riverside track. A selection of bikes will be available on the day to hire {free of course] to enjoy our inclusive day. Do you have a bike that’s needs a check over? If so email to book in a place and our expert mechanic will check it over for you {free of course}. This event is an informal get together where anyone can nip down and get involved in the previous. Come on down.

Almost all off road unless we need to cross a road or join the trails together.

We have Vernons cricket and sports facility for the entirety of the event and both rides will start and stop here with free refreshments and helpful supportive team members onsite.

Bring your self and a helmet and bike if possible. On the day we will have a limited amount of free hire bikes and helmets {so please book in advance}. Also if your bike needs a look over please also pre arrange this with an email to [email protected]
