There is plenty of parking in the village of Occold. We will be meeting outside the Beaconsfield Arms pub. The pub is open for coffees and refreshments prior to the ride.

It is recommended that you bring a water bottle for the ride and optional on-ride snacks depending on personal preference. If the weather looks unsettled, please bring a suitable jacket to keep you dry in the event of a shower. Given the time of year and temperature, it is likely to be chilly so please bring layers to keep warm.

Please wear a helmet and bring a spare inner tube suitable for your bike in case of punctures. it is also advised to bring tyre levers and a multi tool suitable for your bike. Assistance will be given where possible. IP23 7PW

The ride begins at the Beaconsfield Arms in Occold, a pretty village pub across the road from Occold primary school. Turning right from the pub on Mill road, the route heads towards Bedingfield, on quiet country roads towards the pretty village of Worlingworth. At Worlingworth, the route heads north towards Horham and the Horham airstrip. this week we will continue north on our route and join Route 30 on the National Regional cycle path, on the outskirts of Hoxne. NCN30 takes in quiet lanes back into Eye.
There is an opportunity to cut the ride short at Horham Airstrip, turning towards Redlingfield back to Occold. This option is just under 14miles.
