Starting point

NE6 1BU

The Cycle Hub, Quayside, Newcastle

We leave the Hub and head to Washington as a way to Herrington Country Park, Penshaw. We then ride on to meet the W2W route at Doxford Park. We continue on the W2W to regroup at Hetton Lyons Park. We continue off road through Low Pittington, Sherburn and on to Dragonville then on to Durham City for a food stop by the river (45km). After leaving the City centre we head for the Lanchester cycle Way which will take us majestically up to Consett. After a pit stop at Hownsgill Farm (66km), we head for the Hub via Consett Park and the Derwent Way and over the Millennium Bridge for a well-deserved coffee. http://gb.mapometer.com/cycling/route_4282528.html
