About the group
Welcome to the Witham Wheelers Cycling Club based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Established in 1958, the club aims to encourage and promote all aspects of cycling from recreational riders to those who wish to compete in local races. Witham Wheelers is proud to be a part of British Cycling’s GoRide development programme. Most recreational rides take place at the weekend around the country lanes, and excellent cafés, of South Kesteven, the Leicestershire Wolds, and the Vale of Belvoir. The Sunday Club Ride takes place all year round; this is usually 50-60 miles at about 16-18mph. Between May and October the club runs a 20 to 40-mile Saturday Social Spin at a comfortable pace which is a good introduction to road riding in a group. Additional rides take place during the lighter evenings in late-spring and summer.
