South Northants Cycling Group

Social cycling group based in South Northamptonshire created for cyclists of all levels who want to have fun and make friends whilst getting fit, building confidence and exploring the local area. We ride on a mixture of roads avoiding A roads as much as possible, using mainly country lanes, B roads, cycle paths and uncategorised roads so riders must be confident riding on road. Average speed of the rides is around 15mph over a range of distances from 30 miles to 60 miles. Each ride posted will include specific mileage details and directions in the form of a GPX file. Rides will include plenty of opportunities for water stops and rides over longer distances (35 miles upwards) will include a cafe stop. All bikes are welcome but riders must bring some water or other form of hydration, wear helmets and carry spare tube / spares / tools as necessary. It is also useful to bring some cash / credit card if you want to buy any drinks or snacks along the way. Rides will generally take place on weekdays starting about 10.00am but there may be other rides posted for evenings or weekends.
