WInchester to Alresford Loop

The ride will start and finish in Winchester outside the old Leisure Centre. Start time will be 9.30am.

All are welcome on the ride. We will ride at a steady pace and as a group so that all can enjoy the ride. We will stop along the route whenever needed.

Any roadworthy bike will be suitable. Please check your bike to ensure it is roadworthy before the ride.

There are a couple of longer climbs along the route but we shall take these at a steady pace.

We shall stop for refreshments on New Alresford at 17 miles into the route.

The route takes use out of Winchester along the Worthy Road to Springvale and on to Micheldever, East Stratton, Northington and to New Alresford. We shall stop here for refreshments and perhaps some nutritious cake.

The return will be along the Itchen river back into Winchester via Tesco.

Please ensure you have a helmet and in case of a puncture the necessary bits and bobs to undertake a repair (inner tube or repair kit with tools and pump). Assistance, however, can be provided if needed. Please bring some water and a snack, just in case. Please also have suitable clothes for weather conditions.

Support will be provided whenever appropriate to ensure that all have an enjoyable time.

Please do not not come on the ride if you are feeling unwell.
