Start on Combs Road in Bakewell and cycle the full length of the Monsal trail. Very short road section on A6 before ascending to King Sterndale via a steep track before making our way to Earl Sterndale and the start of the High Peak Trail, hopefully we'll get good views across to Staffordshire and beyond. Travel south to Cromford on the trail via Parsley Hay, Middleton Top. Short road section to Matlock and then its back on trails / bridleways to Bakewell.

This is a lovely route which takes in full length of the Monsal and High Peak trails. Predominantly trail with some road sections. Just under 50 miles in length with just over 2,000 feet of climbing, including the final off road section back to Bakewell. There is also a small track we will walk up to King Sterndale.

Best suited for a gravel / hybrid with low gears.

Plenty of places to stop en route for toilets / drinks / snacks. Recommend you bring a picnic lunch which we'll probably have around Parsley Hay.

Helmets required. Money for cafe stops. Tools / pump / inner tube etc to fix your bike.

We never leave anyone behind
