Starting point

South Yorkshire
S6 4TE

This ride will depart from the usual start point on Loxley Road and head through Low Bradfield and up Blindside, before dropping down the A57 and on through Hope and Edale to arrive at the climb up to Mam Nick as the sun rises. We'll stop for a breakfast snack and a coffee at the top, so bring a nibble and a flask if you like. After we've admired the scenery in the early morning sun (subject to weather, the organiser takes no responsibility for the presence or absence of sunshine) we'll continue on to Tideswell, Eyam and up through Nether Padley. We'll stop at the Grindleford Station Cafe for a proper breakfast, aiming to be there around 9:30am (if we're running late we may shorten the route to get there a little quicker).
It will be dark when we start, so bring good quality, fully charged lights. As this is a large group, we will split up into two or three smaller groups and regroup in Edale, at the top of Mam Nick and at one or two other points along the way if necessary. I'll make the GPX file for the route available in the week leading up to the ride, so if you have a Garmin or over device that does navigation please load the route on to it - the more people who know where they are going the easier it will be to manage the ride!
