Starting point

South Yorkshire
S6 4TE

This ride takes us from Loxley Road via Low Bradfield and up the steady climb of Blindside Lane to Mortimer Road. From there we'll drop down the A57 to Ladybower, turn left and pass the Yorkshire Bridge. We then take a right onto a pretty winding lane that takes us through Thornhill before we turn right and head to Hope. At Hope we turn right and continue to Edale and then up the long, steep climb up Mam Nick where we will be rewarded with one of the most beautiful views to be found anywhere in the Peak District. We'll then drop down towards Sparrowpit, turning left onto a lovely quiet lane just before we get there. We then continue via more pretty lanes to Tideswell where we'll stop for coffee and cake before continuing via Eyam to the long steady climb up Nether Padley. We then carry on via Ringinglow to Lodge Moor before dropping down Lodge Lane and returning to Rivelin Valley and back to Loxley Road. Although this route has some very substantial undulations, we'll take our time and stop for breathers if needed. No-one ever gets left behind!
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
Rides organised via Let's Ride are permitted to have up to 15 participants (this ride may have a lower limit); however, at the start and end of the ride and at any café stops, participants must divide into groups of six or fewer and not mix with the other groups. Please do not attend if you have COVID symptoms (new, persistent cough; fever; loss of sense of smell or taste) or if any of your household has symptoms or is isolating. Maintain social distance throughout the ride, including at the start/finish and the café stop - all participants must maintain a distance of 2 m from others while stationary and 1 m while riding. Bring a facemask for use at the café stop.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
We recommend that all participants wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone.
