This route will take us towards the Wigan flashes and onwards through the towns western suburbs before reaching our midpoint cafe stop. Once rested, we continue taking in the distant views over Merseyside and cycle on through to The Three Sisters circuit and return back through the pretty woods surrounding Wigan districts.
This is a 50/50 split of roads, both major and minor and off road tracks and trails, therefore suited best to hybrid bikes.
Although helmets are only recommended by law and not deemed to be essential, anyone not wearing a helmet will not be able to join the ride. Please ensure you carry spare inner tubes, tyre levers and a pump. Change for the rest stop will be required. Also, tissues and antibac wipes and hand gels need to be carried on your person.
Bring along plenty of refreshments for the ride.
