Valentine's Day cycle to Newhailes

From the bottom of the zigzags access to the Roseburn Path on Russell Road we'll take the new path to Fountain Bridge, on to the canal as far as the Leamington Lift Bridge and wind our way through the Meadows and in to Holyrood Park. Taking the Low Road we'll have lovely views to Duddingston Loch. After going through Duddingston Village we'll go through Bingham Park to Brunstane, following route 1 to Newhailes.
After coffee we'll take a different route past QMU to Little France and Craigmillar Castle Parks, before going up the Innocent Tunnel, back to the Meadows, over the canal and back to our starting point.

Frequent stops to data h our breath and for photos. A cafe stop at the Stables cafe in the Newhailes Estate to enjoy their speciality Valentine's Day cake.

Helmets are highly recommended. Please bring 2 spare inner tubes, pump with a fitting to suit your tyre valves and any other tools suitable to your bike. Cash/payment card for the cafe A plan for getting home in case of breakdown
