Two Palm Houses

Starting in beautiful Sefton Park we cycle up to the wonderfully restored Palm House before making our way to the traffic-free Liverpool Loop Line via the NCN56. We come off the Loop Line at Walton Hall Park and make our way through residential streets to Anfield Cemetery and cross into Stanley Park. Here we can enjoy coffee and cake at the Isla Gladstone before heading back towards the City and Centre and the Otterspool Prom along the river to the Festival Gardens, St Michaels and back into Sefton Park.

This ride takes in two beautiful parks in the city each with a fabulous Victorian Palm House.

A mix of traffic free and cycle routes on mostly quiet roads. The route through the city centre to the Pier Head can be busy with traffic.

We will stop for a "coffee and cake" stop at the halfway point in the Isla Gladstone Palm House in Stanley Park. With views of both Everton and Liverpool's football grounds.

Any roadworthy bike that is comfortable to ride on roads and gravel paths. Helmets are advised. Bring suitable layered clothing and water and an energy snack.

We will travel at around 10 to 12 mph. There are some roads as we cycle through Liverpool City Centre so riders should be confident riding on the road in a group.
