Learn to cycle with confidence with this 6 week course aimed at beginners, nervous riders or those returning to cycling after a break.
Regular cycling can reduce the risk of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and stroke. It can also boost your mood and keep your weight under control.
We’ll help you to cycle safely by showing you how to do the following :
• Practice in a safe environment
• Wear a helmet correctly
• Be seen and heard
• Check your bike
• Be alert and plan your route
• Follow the highway code
We’ll start out in Pennington Park and gradually as your confidence grows we’ll move on to Pennington Flash country park and eventually onto the canal towpath and quiet local roads.
