Starting point

Breeze into 2019 with this riverside, women-only ride which will be mainly on quieter roads and traffic free paths. For 2019 you can receive rewards for your winter miles because riders who complete four or more rides during January and February will receive HSBC UK Breeze goodies.

We will pass through Twickenham on our way to Kingston Bridge where we will join the river path for glorious views of Hampton Court before skirting the Palace to reach Bushy Park. Following a refreshment stop at the Pheasantry cafe in the park we will cycle back to Syon via Twickenham, Marble Hill House and the riverside which offers a superb view across the Thames to the Star and Garter at the top of Richmond Hill. We will aim to return to Syon Park around 1.30pm.

To join the ride you need a bike in full working order so please check beforehand that the brakes work, the wheels spin freely and the tyres are pumped up. Dress for the weather, remembering gloves and avoiding loose garments that could catch in your chain. A helmet, some drinking water and a spare inner tube are recommended as well as cash for refreshments and a lock for your bike.

If you like the sound of this ride but think it is a bit ambitious for you, please look out for West London Breeze’s “Saturday Shorts” from Syon Park or, every Saturday during January and February, our Beginners Rides from Walpole Park, Ealing.
