Sunday Pedal to Pennington

We will start near 'Keepers Gate' at the bottom end of Haydock Park racecourse and ride a short road section up to join Golborne Road and turn right down edge green road passing the Harrow Inn. We will then pass through a farm to join the trails at Viridor Wood heading up towards Bamfurlong to pick up the Leigh branch of the canal path of the Leeds Liverpool canal to Pennington.
From Pennington we pick up a trail parallel with Atherleigh Way to join the cycle path of the East Lancashire road back to Golborne and our start point at 'Keepers Gate.

we will stop half way at Pennington Flash for refreshments.

Helmets are compulsory for this ride. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Please ensure your bike is in good working order and you bring a spare inner tube and pump. Please feel free to bring your own refreshments or some change to purchase refreshments at Pennington Flash.
