This is a slightly earlier start time, because of the shorter evenings. Please check your bike lights are in working order as the light may be fading by the time we get back to the start at around 7.45.
From the start at Bellemoor Triangle on the Common we'll cross over to the Avenue and follow the Copenhagen-style cycle lane into town. We'll then ride through the parks down to Hannover Buildings before nipping through St Mary's towards Itchen Bridge. We have a bit of a climb as we scale Itchen Bridge. Then it's through Woolston to our halfway stop at the end of Weston Shore where we can enjoy being near the water and the view across the water back to Southampton and over to Hythe.

COVID19. We will be following current government guidelines. Please bring a mask, hand sanitiser and disposable gloves. All participants are asked to bring their own equipment (pump, inner tube, tyre levers, water bottle) to avoid sharing of equipment.

Finally - could I ask you to carefully check your contact details, particularly your mobile number, just in case i need to change details before the ride takes place.

We have a tough climb as we scale Itchen Bridge on the outbound ride but its easier on the way back, honest. Then it's through Woolston to our halfway stop at the end of Weston Shore where we can enjoy being near the water and the view across the water back to Southampton and over to Hythe. I can't promise a luxury cake stop but the kiosk at Weston brews a nice cuppa and has basic snacks, or feel free to bring your own. Please make sure you wear clothing appropriate to the weather conditions. Please also wear a helmet and bring a debit card for our midway stop or snacks. COVID19. As much as possible of this route is on cycle lanes and shared paths but we do have some roads to negotiate too.
