Steady Breeze to Wetlands

The ride includes some rough lanes and tracks and a walk across a grass field. No cattle were in it on Thursday evening. The track is quite difficult on a road bike so walking some of the sections is advised.

We'll have our refreshment stop at North Cave Wetlands. The friendly lady who runs the Butty Bus is happy to get in extra for us and to accommodate any special requests. If you know what you'd like, we could phone through an order.

Come along for an evening safari to North Cave Wetlands! With luck, we might see an owl. And it's a lovely place to go, even if we don't.

The route is via Ellerker and Wallingfen Lane to the off-road tracks leading into Wetlands. Care is needed on the tracks, although they are in good condition at the moment. We'll walk a couple of hundred meters where cycling is awkward. British Cycling are sticking strictly to government guidelines but are keeping social distancing to 2m. As a result, participants will usually ride single file. Please don't ride beside anyone else unless you can safely ride 2m away from them or they are in your household. And please be careful to stay at least 2m from anyone outside your household throughout. Leaders have been told not to touch participants' bikes except as a last resort. Helmets are advisable. Please bring a spare inner tube, water and sanitiser.
