The ride starts at Halewood and takes us on through Huyton and Stockbridge Village into Little Woods a park adjacent to Croxteth Hall Park. We then head out towards Kirkby along quiet lanes and cycle paths until we reach the refreshment stop at the lovely Bridge Farm (beware the chickens like to peck your drooped scraps). The second part of the ride takes us along Rainford Linear Line which is a bit gravelly in parts. We then head back via St Helens, Westpark and pass through the leafy green Taylor Park (ice cream a possibility here) before dropping onto the Tushingham area of Stadt Moers Park. Finally returning through Tarbock Green and back to Halewood Environmental Centre.
The ride does have a few hilly sections but most of the ride is flat on mixed terrain cycle paths, lanes, a few main roads and parks. The ride is suitable for all bikes but caution on the Linear Line on road bikes due to a few gravel spots.
We will be riding at a steady pace of 10 mph approx
