This route is designed for anyone looking to cycle a little further while taking on the challenge of a few ups and downs while you're there. The route is mainly on quieter country lanes, But there are some sections on busier main roads so you need to be reasonably confident cycling on roads. We will stay as a group and make sure everyone is together. So if you are looking to further build your confidence and travel further then this is the route for you.

We will cycle at the pace of the slowest rider, we will always wait and let the group catch up and of course wait at the top of hills. We are aiming to keep the pace of the ride between 8-10mph. The aim is to have a go at the hills but if you want/need to walk any of them that's fine to. We will be stopping half way round for tea and cake.
We will meet at Dacorum cycle hub and ride out from here out on the lanes to the Waffle house in St. Albans for a Mother’s Day treat.

Please remember to bring your
- Helmet
-Spare inner tubes for your bike and appropriate tools, even if you don't know how to change an inner tube there are other people in the group to help.
-A water bottle with a drink in, cycling can be thirsty work.
- Appropriate clothing for the weather.
It is recommended when riding in winter to dress in layers, with special attention to feet and hands.
