We will meet at Hamilton Square station. If you are coming from Liverpool, there are trains every 5 minutes from James Street Station. We will then head north and follow the Wirral coastal path through New Brighton and round the headland to West Kirkby. There we will join the Wirral Way disused rail line, and cycle to our cafe stop in Neston.

Then it's back to the Wirral Way, following the trail to Hooton, and then quieter roads back up the river Mersey coast to Hamilton Square. There are a couple of short climbs on this last section.

Part of our Breeze ride series, "Spring Into Summer", this is a chance to ride the complete loop of the Wirral Way.

The first part of the ride is largely traffic-free, using coastal paths and the Wirral Way disused railway line. After Hooton Station, we ride on roads, some of which can be a bit busy, so riders should be comfortable riding amongst other traffic.

We will be making a stop for refreshments at around halfway through the ride.

The Wirral Way can get a bit muddy and slippery after rain, so I would recommend a bike with wider tyres and mudguards. Suitable clothing and sunscreen may be required. Helmets are strongly advised.

Although this ride is quite long for first timers, it is flat and on traffic-free paths. If you feel you can do the distance then come and give it a try. If not, then look for our Friday rides which are a bit shorter around the city of Liverpool.
