HA2 8PX

This is a circular ride from South Harrow to Richmond Park going out via Greenford, through Syon Park and onwards to Richmond Park where we plan to do the 8 mile loop of the park and stop at the café at Pembroke Lodge. From here we will cycle past Gunnersbury park and onwards to Pitshanger Park via Ealing, to Greenford quays along the canal by Horsenden Hill and back to South Harrow.
If we get caught in the rain we may cut the ride short and not do the full loop at Richmond park

Starting point: Alexandra park: 33 Alexandra Avenue, HA2 8PX. Free parking available on Park lane. Meet by the children's playground in Alexandra Park, South Harrow at 8:15am for a 8:30am departure. We should return to South Harrow at around 2pm. This is a circular ride from South Harrow to Richmond Park going out via Greenford, through Syon Park and onwards to Richmond Park where we plan to do the 8 mile loop of the park and stop at the café for a short break if it’s a warm and sunny day. From here we will cycle on to Gunnersbury park where we will meet fellow Breezers for a picnic to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Breeze rides. The Duck Pond Market at Gunnersbury Park will have food and drinks available to buy for the picnic if you wish. We will then cycle to Pitshanger Park via Ealing and then onwards to Greenford quays along the canal by Horsenden Hill and back to South Harrow.

It's ideal for able riders and the route is on a mixture of main roads and quiet roads. This ride will be good practice for a few gentle hills which we will tackle at our own comfortable pace. We won't leave anyone behind. All women are welcome. I have marked this ride as a challenging ride because some parts of the route can be congested and you need to be confident to cycle on busy sections of the route. All you need is a working bike and a desire to have fun cycling.

Riders should bring a mask, water, snacks, spare inner tube, tyre levers, pump and money for coffee stops. Helmets are strongly encouraged. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Before you come please pump up your tyres and make sure the brakes work and the wheels turn. I will not be able to touch your bike. We will be at a social distance throughout the ride and toilets will not be open. Please DO NOT come on the ride if you feel at all unwell, in particular if you have a cough, temperature or any other known symptom of Covid-19. It's OK to cancel on the day if you need to.

We never leave anyone behind
