Join ride leaders - Martin & Lesley Doxsey on one of our favourite rides around the Guild Wheel. Starting at one of the official Guild Wheel car parks - Preston Crematorium, off Longridge Road, Preston, PR2 5BP. Average speed – 8-10 mph Elevation – 700 ft.

The Guild Wheel is a 21-mile walking and cycling route, encircling Preston and providing a link from the city to the countryside. The Wheel is a great way to make the most of the many forms of landscapes that make Preston what it is – cycle along rambling river and canal sides, through ancient woodland, city centre parkland, historic docklands and attractive nature reserves.

We will have a cafe stop along the way or you may prefer to bring your own snacks/drinks with you.

If you have not completed a ride participant form previously for one of the HRS rides, please request one via email [email protected], Facebook messenger or through the lets ride site. Please ensure your bike is in good working condition. Check your gears and brakes and if they are a little bit stiff/rusty and you are not sure how to remedy, take it to your local bike shop. They will be happy to take a look. Although helmets are only recommended by law and not deemed to be essential, anyone not wearing a helmet will not be able to join the ride unfortunately. Please bring your spare inner tubes, bike levers and pump (don’t worry about the latter if you don’t have one). A lock would be advisable for the café stop.

We never leave anyone behind
